Step #1: Setting Up Your Org Chart
Today we are going to talk about posting your first job with Hyrell.
Before we can begin posting positions, we need to establish the underlying structure that supports your entire Hyrell Hiring System. So let’s begin by organizing your Org Chart.
Once you login to your System, go to the Admin Tab and click on Organization.
On this page you can edit and customize the entire org chart.
The chart is designed to mirror your company’s existing departmental structure.
By clicking on the organization blocks, you can add a location or department to any level of the chart
Once this structure is in place, you can then begin assigning positions to these locations.
Step #2: Creating and Editing Position Templates
To create and edit a position template, go to the Library tab, click on New and then Position Template
The easiest way to add a new position template is to import one from Hyrell’s Community Library.
Once you’ve selected your template, click import and the template will be transferred to your company’s Position Template Library.
After the position is imported, you can select the edit pencil to begin customizing the position to fit your needs.
On the first page of the template editing process you will be required to complete the general information of the open position.
On page 2 you can select from our available position elements
On page 3 you can design the questions that you would like your job candidates to answer during the application process.
Finally on page 4 you can review and save the entire position template for later use.
Step #3: Assigning Position Templates to Locations / Departments
There are two ways to assign an existing position template to location or department within your organization.
First, you can go to the Library Tab and select the appropriate template.
Click on the “Take Action” button, select “Assign” and then click on the appropriate location or department in your org chart.
Alternatively, you can assign position templates by going directly to the Org Chart.
Just go to the Admin Tab and click on Organization.
You can easily assign users and add position templates by selecting any of your existing locations or departments.
Just go to the Positions section, click on “Add Positions,” select your template from the available list, and click “save”
Step #4 Posting Your Position
Once your position templates are assigned to the appropriate locations, you can post your positions live on job boards by heading to the My Positions Tab.
Make sure to select the “All Positions” view, click on the appropriate position template, and then select “post” from the “Take Action” Menu.
Once your position is posted it will be sent directly to major internet job boards, including indeed, simply hired, and glassdoor.
But please keep in mind that it may take up to 24 hours for your job to appear on these sites.
